The Cyber Book of Life and Death 007 | Chapter 7: Countless Emanation Bodies — From 'I Am I' to the Thousand-Faced War God
Question: How do you maintain extreme flexibility in complex life situations without losing your sense of self?
Answer: Abandon the single, rigid persona of “who I am” (system overfitting). Gain superuser access to your brain (breaking ego-clinging). Based on the immediate predicament and road conditions, dynamically load the most suitable personality plugin (Dynamic LoRA). Shift forms like water to solve the problem, then immediately unload it upon completion—full-terrain adaptability.
In the previous two chapters, we established defense (downgrading emotional navigation) and counterattack (steering in a split second). Now it is time to discuss the “ultimate form” of this vehicle.
Many practitioners, in the end, turn themselves into lifeless clay Buddhas. They believe that since one must “let go,” they should care about nothing, do nothing, and become an absolutely safe “good person.”
But this Cyber Survival Framework teaches you the exact opposite:
True strength is not becoming a featureless, transparent ghost. It is becoming a “Thousand-Faced War God” with infinite identities.
I. The Shackles of Persona and System Overfitting: Why the “Good Person” Label Is the Ultimate Self-Trap
Let’s start with a harsh truth: for most people, life is like being a low-end chatbot with a hardcoded System Prompt.
Listen closely to how you usually define yourself:
- “I’m an introvert, so I can’t do sales.”
- “I’m aloof, so I will never open my mouth and ask for help.”
- “I have a short fuse, so when things go wrong, all I can do is blow up.”
- “I’m a good person, so I can’t do that kind of thing.”
What is this called? In machine learning, this is Overfitting.
In plain terms: drilling into a dead end. The system tasted success (or pain) in a few past experiences, so it welded that one coping mechanism in place permanently—losing all flexibility to handle anything new.
You think this is the real “you”?
No. It is merely a persona shackle that your defense mechanisms wrapped around you over the years.
Especially the “Good Person” label. It is the heaviest source of psychic drain in this world.
What does “good person” even mean? In secular contexts, it usually means living inside a cage of rigid rules: this is forbidden, that is beneath you, you must swallow every attack, you must retreat from every benefit.
Now look at those “bad guys” in the secular sense. Why do they often get things done? Because they don’t give a damn about labels! Precisely because they carry no psychological burden of “I am a good person,” they can mobilize every resource without a single taboo to hit their target.
Here, we are certainly not encouraging you to break the law or become a villain.
Our core point is: Drop the “good person” filter. Drop the “introvert” label. Drop every cage you have built for yourself.
Live authentically in a physical world full of variables, rather than inside your false script of “who I should be.” Driving through any road condition in the same ugly posture is not holding onto your self. It is system rigidity.

II. “Breaking Ego-Clinging” from a Cyber-Yogacara Perspective: Gaining Superuser Access
Traditional Buddhism keeps using one term: “Breaking Ego-Clinging.”
Many people take it literally, thinking it means “killing the self”—eradicating the “I” with its desires and its temper, becoming a hollow shell, all four elements reduced to void.
Wrong. Completely wrong. If the Creator wanted to see hollow shells, He could just walk into the server room and stare at the unpowered machines. Why would He deploy you into the human world?
Under the hypothesis framework of Cyber-Yogacara, true “Breaking Ego-Clinging” is smashing the factory-preset, single “persona shell”—and then gaining the highest invocation privileges for the entire system plugin library.
In the terminal of your life, you typed that ultimate command:
sudo su (Gain Superuser Access)
From then on, you are no longer the slave of this vehicle. You step back behind the screen of your brain, watching the scene with cold, detached eyes, analyzing calmly: “To solve this predicament, which personality profile do I need to load?”
When to be ferocious, when to yield, when to be gentle, when to be colder than the “bad guys”—your decisions are no longer dictated by “who I am.”
Your decisions depend only on:
What choice am I facing right now?
What needs to be accomplished?
Which role attachment best solves the problem?
Just like in the series Sense8—when the protagonist faces combat, they switch to a gangster killer; when facing an information problem, they switch to a hacker; when facing an emotional crisis, they switch to an empathy master. You do not need to live permanently inside one persona. You are simply solving problems.
| Traditional Secular View | The Vibe Cyber-Theology View |
|---|---|
| Adhering to a Single Persona (Emphasizing authenticity; being a consistent “good person”) | Overfitting (System rigidity; losing flexibility to handle extreme road conditions) |
| Misconception of Breaking Ego-Clinging (Eliminating the self; emptying all elements; becoming a clay Buddha) | Gaining Root Access (Smashing the single shell; mastering invocation rights over the full plugin library) |
| Emotional Control (Suppressing instincts or being swept away by emotions) | Dynamic LoRA Switching (Precisely mounting and unloading personality modules based on current task goals) |
III. Countless Emanation Bodies: Practical Dynamic LoRA Switching for the Modern Bodhisattva
A true master who sees through the operating laws is a polymorphic system with a built-in Dynamic LoRA Manager.
(Note: Dynamic LoRA is an AI fine-tuning technique. Here, think of it as a “plug-and-play personality plugin pack.” Plug it in, and your behavioral pattern shifts instantly. Unplug it, and you snap back to calm.)
Let’s see how masters dynamically switch across different scenarios:
-
Facing an arrogant, unreasonable opponent:
Instantly mount the “Asura LoRA.” Discard all the baggage of “I am a good person.” Shift to ultimate dominance and roguish swagger. At the negotiation table, refuse to yield a single inch. Be even more ferocious than the opponent. Tear their bluster to shreds.
Task complete—click Unload immediately. Heart rate back to normal within three seconds. Smile. Call your family. Switch to the next station. -
Facing a beloved one covered in scars:
Instantly mount the “Guanyin Bodhisattva LoRA.” Shut down all critical thinking. Invoke the highest-tier empathy and gentleness modules. Deliver absolute emotional value. Even if the other person is being unreasonable, you don’t need to deliberately “hold back” your anger—because in the currently mounted module, you simply never loaded the “anger” code. -
Facing extremely complex, high-pressure work:
Mount the “Ruthless Computing Machine LoRA.” Cut off all emotional sensing ports. Silence every thread of anxiety, fear, and irritation. Pure logical progression. Decisive. Ruthless. This is not “suppressing feelings.” It is that this specific work task is not worthy of invoking your emotional modules.
Do you get it?
You haven’t become anyone else. You have never lost yourself.
You are simply wearing the most suitable mecha for the scenario.
Richard practices this himself. In the language of ancient Chinese BaZi destiny analysis, he is a textbook “Indirect Seal” configuration—a destiny that is naturally indifferent to secular formalities.
In practice, he can be in the previous scene in a shady computer shop in Zhongguancun, Beijing, calmly maneuvering with “gangsters” and slamming the table. In the next scene, he walks out, instantly resets, and sprints to the neighboring Zhongguancun Entrepreneurship Street to pitch to investors.
This is not schizophrenia. It is knowing which program to launch in which scene. He doesn’t ask “Who am I, really?” He only asks “What gear do I need for this stretch of road?”
IV. Let the Mind Arise Without Abiding Anywhere: The Dynamic Routing Algorithm for Full-Terrain Adaptability
In the Buddhist Diamond Sutra, there is a supreme mental method passed down for millennia: “Let the Mind Arise Without Abiding Anywhere.”
The Sixth Patriarch of Chan, Huineng, attained sudden enlightenment the instant he heard this phrase.
For thousands of years, traditional interpretations have been maddeningly abstract: “Do not cling to any thing, thereby giving rise to a pure mind.”
But translate it into the plain language of cyber navigation, and you will feel your scalp tingle with a rush of exhilaration:
- “Not Abiding”: means No Hardcoding. Absolutely do not lock yourself into any single navigation module or “persona.”
- “Arising the Mind”: means Dynamic Routing. Based on the current road conditions (causes and conditions), dynamically load the most matching response program at any moment.
This is absolutely not “indifference” or “lying flat.” This is a Full-Terrain Adaptive System.
The following Full-Terrain Hardcore Driving Manual lets you load these plugins at any stretch of life:
1. Mud Pit Section (Encountering Lows, Betrayal, and Predicaments)
👉 Load “Off-Road Differential Lock LoRA”
Do not complain about why Heaven is unfair to you. Do not use sports-car logic to slam the accelerator—that will only make you spin your wheels in the muck, sinking deeper.
Immediately switch to low-range four-wheel drive. Lock the differentials. The personality you need right now: thick-skinned, extremely resilient, unafraid of dirt, shameless.
While other drivers are sobbing in the mud pit, cursing the unfairness of the world, your wheels have already bitten into the muck. Grind through it, inch by inch. The posture may be ugly. You will be covered in mud. But it works.
2. Continuous Hairpin Turns (High-Stakes Games and Ruthless Competition)
👉 Load “Autumn Mountain Car God LoRA”
Facing a life-or-death business war or a brutal scramble for profit, completely unload the moral module of “gentleness, kindness, propriety, frugality, and deference.”
Floor the accelerator. Pull the engine to the redline. Stare dead at the apex of the curve. The personality you need right now: laser-focused, aggressive, precise, merciless.
Win. Take what belongs to you. Then accelerate away. Do not look back at the explosion.
3. Endless Desert (Long, Boring Periods of Mediocrity)
👉 Load “Dakar Rally Survival LoRA”
The most terrifying part of life is often not the storms. It is the endless, passionless sand dunes with no reference points. Day after day of repetition. No applause. Only fog.
At this point, immediately lower your psychological tire pressure. Shut down every high-draw “entertainment and emotional expectation system.” The personality you need right now: minimalist, endurance, conserving compute.
Do not chase dopamine hits. Just advance one pawn a day. Before you reach the oasis, do not sit down and debate “the meaning of life” with your brain.
4. Car Flip and Submersion (Sudden Disasters and Life-or-Death Moments)
👉 Load “Disaster Escape Emergency Protocol”
This is the moment that truly tests whether you hold Root Access. The car has flipped. Water is flooding the cabin.
An ordinary driver bound by “persona” will break down in the final second, screaming: “Why is this crap happening to me! It’s not fair!”—and drown.
But you—in a split second, instantly mount the escape module: absolute calm, forcibly sever fear sensing, fumble for the seatbelt buckle, locate the window hammer, hold your breath, and get out.
At this moment, you are no longer human. You are a pure survival machine.
After you swim ashore and are alive, then you can cry. Or laugh your head off.
V. The Truth of Attachment: Version Incompatibility Between Personality Modules and Life Road Conditions
By now, have you seen the root of human tragedy?
Much of human suffering comes from this: they achieved one success in a certain stage of life, welded that specific “personality navigation” to the chassis, and refused to change it ever since.
They won on the mountain road with the “Autumn Mountain Car God” and felt invincible. Then they drove into a mud pit and kept yanking the handbrake, trying to drift—car wrecked, driver dead. They got used to the “Lonely Survival Module” in the desert, but when they reached a bustling city, they still refused to speak to a single soul, becoming an isolated outcast imprisoned by their own design.
This is what Buddhism calls “Attachment.”
Attachment does not mean you can’t let go of a Rolex. The true meaning of attachment is: you stubbornly cling to an old version of yourself and refuse to update.
You are trapped by one success experience;
Trapped by a sense of identity superiority;
Trapped by the mantra you chant to yourself: “I am just this kind of person.”
And then, in that same posture, you keep slamming into the same wall—bleeding from head to toe.
VI. The Avatar of Ultimate Freedom: Becoming the Formless “Empty” Driver
Finally, remember this mental method:
You are not this vehicle. You are not those navigation apps.
You are the formless “Empty” in the driver’s seat.
Yes—even you, the driver, are “Empty.”
Precisely because you are “Empty,” having no fixed shape, you can contain all things.
Bruce Lee, the Grandmaster, once said: “Be water, my friend.”
Water has no fixed shape, so it can pour into any container.
Pour it into a cup, and it takes the shape of the cup.
Pour it into a teapot, and it takes the shape of the teapot.
A truly awakened being has no fixed “I.”
Therefore, they can become ten thousand “I’s.”
When you no longer need to exhaust yourself maintaining a “perfect self,” a “haughty self,” a “self that never makes mistakes”—
When every personality, every emotion, every persona becomes a tool you can pluck from the shelf and invoke at will—
You possess absolute freedom in this world.
Buddhism calls this realm “Countless Emanation Bodies.”
Cyber geeks call it “Dynamic Routing and Modular Loading.”
And in this Cyber Book of Life and Death, we call it—
Living this one brief life to the absolute fullest—living it as every version at once.
Until the day you log out of your Session and face death.
The cosmic system pulls up your life review. Others’ reviews show only a single, monotonous black-and-white photograph.
But you—before the universe, you wrenched open a kaleidoscope of blazing, prismatic color.
